A staggering book that challenged me and disgusted me in equal measure. The central character is eminently sympathetic without being weak or insipid. Any city dweller will relate to the pictures Bonner paints, the affluence and poverty, dreams and nightmares that overlap one another. I really enjoyed this and have recommended it to all of my strong-stomached friends.

Playground is a great read. The story was fast and had you wanting to know what was going to happen next. So, it was hard to put it down. You could really feel for Jonah's character and so wanted him to come out of this nightmare alive.

Playground was actually my first Fiction type book that I finished and since has sparked my interest in the genre. It was great how the Author portrays Jonah's story in detail where he heads back to London for a week after leaving the City the year before. Jonah was in a shock to see how different his "best" friends have become and how different their life has changed.. and what should have been a week for relaxation and catching up quickly turns into a fast-paced rollercoaster of a ride!!

A no holds barred story of choices, heartaches and mystery. The author's vivid imagination makes this book a serious page turner, if your looking for a something to test your morals. This is it.
